Music Waveform

Terms of Use

Last updated: 5 August 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Music Waveform, the audio visualizer and waveform video maker available at music-waveform.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Music Waveform lets you load an audio file and generate an animated waveform that you can preview and export as an MP4 video. All processing happens locally in your browser; the Service does not upload your files. The Service is provided free of charge.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the audio files you load and for the videos you create with the Service. You represent and warrant that:

Because your files are processed only on your device, you retain all rights to your audio and to the videos you export. We claim no ownership over them.

Copyright note: creating a waveform from music you do not own may still require permission from the rights holder, depending on how you intend to use the result. You are responsible for securing any such permissions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Intellectual property

The Service itself, including its software, design, branding, name and logo, is owned by Music Waveform and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except as necessary to use the Service as intended.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exports will be compatible with any particular software or workflow. Export features rely on browser APIs (such as WebCodecs) whose availability varies by browser and version.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Music Waveform and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because the Service is free, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which is zero.

8. Third-party services

The Service is hosted on Vercel and may link to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms.

9. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place of the Service operator's principal establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
